About Lee

I’m an avid surfer of over 30 years with degrees in science and philosophy. My debut novel, Paddling Out, builds on my nonfiction book, Understanding Happiness, exploring self-discovery.

I’ve published an SAT study guide sold to high schools and coauthored an article in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. Recently, I've designed surgical nerve-monitoring software.

Formerly e-commerce manager at Patagonia and Wetsand, I'm a member and volunteer with the Writers and Publishers Network, Save the Waves Coalition, and Ventura Surf Club. I live in Ventura, California, surfing with friends and my kids.
